DESCRIPTION:Save the date for the upcoming conference “Open Science: Monitoring Progress\, Assessing Impact\,” taking place on 7 and 8 July 2025 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris and online. \nCo-organized by UNESCO\, OpenAIRE\, PathOS\, EOSC Track\, and OSMI\, this two-day event will bring together global experts\, policymakers\, and practitioners to explore how we monitor progress in open science and assess its diverse impacts\, from research and innovation to societal benefits. \nSessions will include evidence-based insights from major initiatives\, hands-on workshops\, and discussions on future directions aligned with the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science.

SUMMARY:Workshop on Legal and Organisational Interoperability
DESCRIPTION:8 July 2025. Climate-Adapt4EOSC to gather in Grenoble for a workshop on Legal and Organisational Interoperability. \nOrganised by CODATA ahead of the project’s second General Assembly\, the workshop will bring together representatives from Technovative Solutions LTD (TVS)\, The University of Manchester\, CSTB\, BRGM\, Artelia\, and SIKT. \nThe session to focus on an in-depth discussion with Use Case 3 (Metropolitan France) and the service developped: “Shrink-Swell”. \nWorkshop will also be opportunity to reflect on cross-cutting issues relevant to other Use Cases. \n💡 Key discussion topics: \n🎯Shared understanding of legal and organisational interoperability and the project’s methodological approach\n🎯Identification of restrictions on data sharing (e.g. sensitivity\, IPR\, need for attribution\, trust)\n🎯Review of enablers facilitating data reuse (e.g. licences\, agreements\, standards\, organisational frameworks)\n🎯Mapping and analysing the data flows and collaborations required within UC3\n🎯Use of structured templates to characterise datasets and their interoperability challenges
