CA4EOSC at the CERN–OpenAIRE Open Science Fair 2025 !

On 16 September 2025, Matti Heikkurinen represented the Climate-Adapt4EOSC (CA4EOSC) project at the workshop “Fostering Global Collaboration in Open Science Infrastructure Sharing”. This workshop took place during the Open Science Fair 2025, co-hosted by CERN and OpenAIRE.

This high-level workshop brought together policymakers, global infrastructure providers (UNESCO, OpenAIRE, CODATA, COAR…), national research institutions and early-career researcher networks to explore governance, interoperability and sustainability of open-science infrastructures worldwide. In his 15-minute contribution, Matti highlighted how CA4EOSC is developing a pan-European climate adaptation data ecosystem that:

🌱makes interoperable Earth-observation and socio-economic data more accessible;

📊enables community validation and sharing of local datasets;

🌐aligns with international open-science infrastructures and standards.

The dialogue is part of the ongoing, proactive engagement of the Climate-Adapt4EOSC partners and Open Science community.
